Use Your God Given Talents To Lay Hands On The Sick So They’ll Recover

Jesus essentially states in Matthew 28:18 and Mark 16:15-18  that we have been commissioned to go to the world.  There are many who do the work of spreading the Good News.

Some are teachers, assistants, ministers, evangelists, etc.  God has given us multiplicity of craftsmanship, skills, and talent.  Jesus demonstrated signs and wonders as he went around spreading the Gospel.  He was not behind a pulpit every Sunday.

So many people in the world are sick. Sick of their husbands, sick of their jobs, sick of their wives or just sick of their lives.  Sick of their friends, relatives or kids.  Some people are sick of food, TV, or the world.  Many people are sick of the Church and the Mosque.  We are simply catalysts and conduits used by God to reveal signs and wonders in peoples lives.

People want to hear about God so that they can see miracles in their lives and come back to tell you what God used you to do in their lives.  Signs and wonders are not just demonstrated because you lay hands on someone and they fall out on the floor.

Even a hairdresser can demonstrate Signs and Wonders in the Beauty Industry.  Because you are so filled with faith, the holy spirit will enable people to be healed because you colored their hair, applied hair extensions or braids, or simply put on your styling cape.

People were healed by touching Paul’s handkerchief, aprons or towels. Acts 19:11-12(Amplified) says “ And God did unusual and extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, So that handkerchiefs or towels or aprons which had touched his skin were carried away and put upon the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.”

Paul might not have even known about the signs and wonders that were taking place when people left him. But he was willing to be used as a vessel.

In the profession of hairdressing and beauty, women are looking for miracles not only to restore their hair, but to heal.  In the cosmetic and beauty industry, external beauty is much more important than internal beauty.  While we know that ones external attractiveness  is seen before ones internal beauty ;  it is a proven fact when one is healed from within their external physical attributes are brightened and improved.

The study of science shows that if ones internal homeostasis is balanced they are able to do more physically. The study of  medicine asserts that healing is from within.  A person that shines shoes  can be used in their profession by God.

Paid in Full

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.  He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house.  However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young women opened the door.  Instead of a meal, he asked for a drink of water.  She thought he looked hungry and so she brought him a large glass of milk.

He drank it slowly, and then asked, “How much do I owe you?” “You don’t owe me anything,” she replied.  “Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness.” He said, “Then I thank you from my heart.”

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strengthened also.  He had been ready to give up and quit.

Year’s later, that young women became critically ill.   The local doctors were baffled.  They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.

Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation.  When he heard the name of the town she came from, he went down the hall of the hospital to her room.  Dressed in his doctor’s gown, he went in to see her.  He recognized her at once.  He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life.  From that day, he gave special attention to the case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won.  Dr. Kelly requested from the business office to pass the final billing to him for approval.  He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge, and the bill was sent to her room.  She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all.  Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill.

She read these words:
“PAID IN FULL WITH ONE GLASS OF MILK………
(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.”
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed:  “Thank you, God, that your love is shed abroad through human hearts and hands.“
