God has put strength and resilience in our inner scalps and hair textures as he did with Samson, Judges 16:17. This year Paul Mitchell helped the world to recognize this when he and many others demonstrated the strength in hair when they used hair rolled into masses to absorb the oil in the oceans, lakes and beaches for the BP(British Petroleum) oil catastrophe.
So many hairdressers and stylists take hair for granted. Over time they tend to lose esteem for really preserving and maintaining the health of their clients hair. While fashion models can’t step onto the runway without a hairstylist creating a “show stopping” design in their hair; there are masses of women who hate their hairdressers for the destruction that their hands have caused to their hair and scalps-causing people to “stop” and pity them.
God did not make any mistakes with your beauty or worth when he created your hair in all his infinite creative diverseness. Luke 12:7(Amplified Bible) says “But even the very hairs of your head are numbered. Do not be struck with fear or seized with alarm; you are of greater worth than many flocks of sparrows.
Hair is like an antenna whether we have too much of it or very little. Job(Amplified Bible) 4:14 says “Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of flesh stood up!” And we know God intended it to be that way. Even when some people tell lies, they have to scratch their head because it begins to itch in dismay.
Hair has life not just because of blood and nerve innervations, but because it has the ability to bring happiness, smiles, laughter, sadness, depression, awe and love to every human being. Song of Solomon 4:1(Amplified Bible) says “How fair you are, my love, how very fair! Your eyes behind your veil remind me of those of a dove; your hair makes me think of the black, wavy fleece of a flock of the Arabian goats which one sees trailing down Mount Gilead beyond the Jordan on the frontiers of the desert.”
Lets learn to respect the hair God gave us even if we want to style or accentuate it with hair extensions, braids, dreadlocks, or hair color. Don’t take care of the hair you have purchased with more love and neglect you own natural hair. Give your natural hair food and water both internally and externally. Use moisturizers, oils, and cleanliness. Your body is the temple of the most high God and that does include your hair!
Remember that your hair does have antennas so brush and comb it with love. Do not consistently covet, compare or criticize how you wish your hair was like other peoples hair. Have appreciation for the fact that People who are not bald by choice wish they just had hair period!
